The Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale is located in the Hazelwood area of the beautiful town of Waynesville, NC. We specialize in hand-cut, all natural steaks from local farms, incredible burgers, and other classic american comfort foods that are made using only the finest local and sustainable ingredients available. We also feature a great selection of microbrews and ales from local artisan brewers, and of course an extensive selection of small batch bourbons and whiskey.
The Barrel is a friendly and casual neighborhood dining experience where our guests can enjoy a great meal without breaking the bank.

Ashley Owens is a native of Haywood County, and a graduate of Western Carolina’s Hospitality Management program. She’s been involved in the opening of several restaurants, including the extremely successful MIEL in Nashville, TN. Ashley has had the opportunity to live in Jackson Hole, WY. managing at Snow King Resort and The Rusty Parrot. Her travels have made her appreciate these mountains that were once taken for granted growing up. She is super excited to be a part of the Bourbon Barrel, and feels very blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of the continued growth in the community in which she grew up and adores.
