After almost 10 years of serving my hometown community and its tourists, the BBBA is permanently closing its doors.
I cannot express the gratitude that I have for all of the amazing people that have supported my restaurant, both guests and employees. The memories that have been made within these walls are ones that will live forever. It will never be the same in this space. The BB is an establishment that will not be replicated in its vibe and genuine southern hospitality.

To each and every one of you that have supported us, I say thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It has been a stellar run, my labor of love. I would not change a thing. I love my business, and I love y’all! I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of such a special place in Haywood County for so long. It breaks my heart to have to let it go, but rest assured this isn’t the end! It is simply one door closing so that a new one can swing wide open.

God Bless,

Forever proud owner of the

Went there last night with 2 other couples. Service was excellent. I had the French onion soup to start and then the ribeye. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Great selection of beers. Just a great night out with friends!

“Our new go to restaurant in Waynesville !”

We have been coming to Waynesville for many years to a bible conference and each year we go to our favorite places in the Waynesville/Maggie Valley area and this year somebody suggested the Bourbon Barrel and we tried it and it was awesome! I like to try new things and I saw the Egg Plant on the menu so I tried it and it was amazing. My wife had the ribeye which she raved about! We met the owner and we clicked right away. She is awesome understands hospitality and how to do amazing food. The only drawback is that we will not be back for a year but if you live close put the Bourbon Barrel on your list of must visit restaurants!

Started the evening with two cosmopolitans .Nice smooth house vodka absolutely fabulous ! went on to order two appetizers. 1. crab cakes ( diner portion) served two per order soo fresh loaded with crab melted in your mouth perfectly prepared. 2. corn pudding fried frita ,so unique in a southern way. A must try, we loved it . House salad a perfect start. .Main course 1. meatloaf wrapped in bacon bursting with flavor served with mashed potato .2. Ribeye cooked to perfection cut it with a fork so tender ! severed along with roasted potato and spinach. BETTER THEN EXCELLENT !!!!

“A true gem in a tiny town.”

7 of us visited this past weekend and no one was disappointed! Fresh, flavorful ingredients; a great craft/local beer list; and great service. We were fortunate to have reservations as this is not a large space and our booth only comfortably sat 6 but they accommodated us by allowing us to put a chair at the end of the table. A few of the yummy foods we had: fried pickles app, shrimp and creole grits--outstanding!, the HUGE pork chop, homemade soups, delicious bread, the hamburger, and a chicken salad. Again, generous portions of really good eats.

“Another Wonderful Dinner”

Visited this restaurant last year while visiting Waynesville, NC and it's a can't miss dinner location. We had Wedge Salad; Crab Cake; Double Pork Chop with Fries and house salad. The Champagne dressing is out of this world and the pork chop was superb. Wife said it was the best Crab Cake she's ever had. Restaurant is smallish, staff is friendly and if you're in this area, it's a must visit for either lunch or dinner!

“Ended up having lunch AND dinner there!”

Staying at a nice B&B with my fiancé and heard about Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale. We decided to have dinner there that night. As we were going to a place for lunch, we figured that it made sense to just make sure we could find the restaurant for dinner. When we drove by, it looked great and we decided to just go ahead and have lunch there and we'd do something else for dinner. Well, we enjoyed it for lunch so much that we came back and ate there AGAIN for dinner that night. We thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to go back that way in the fall and will definitely eat at Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale again!
